About Me

Hi! I’m Andrew Leitzer, an artist and writer currently living and working in Fallston, MD. Creative expression has been a defining part of my life since I could hold a crayon or bang on a home-made kitchenware drum set. The tools and messages have changed over the years but the motivation and desire to create has remained constant.

An affinity for storytelling naturally led me to sequential art, and in 2019 I finished my first comic book. In the years that followed I’ve completed five more. I’ve also completed two children’s books, which I both wrote and illustrated.

Home base for me - medium-wise - is pencil, ink and watercolor. That said, I really enjoy exploring other mediums, as each has its own personality and unique ability to express different emotions and themes.

Through my art and storytelling I always aim to create compelling and entertaining stories and visuals. Just as importantly to me though, is to interweave meaningful, individual commentary on the greater human experience and guide my audience towards, what I feel is that most important true north in life, improving ourselves and bettering the world around us. 

A deep appreciation for the fundamentals, and education in general, keeps me constantly seeking out new techniques and knowledge. I’ve exhibited in regional galleries and have been honored with awards at local plein air events and various other local art shows.
